the breed is generally friendly - a family dog. Also a working dog/breed - so needs a yard or good walks. It was probably listed on a 'banned' list for weight restrictions - the breed is not known to be aggressive by any stretch of the imagination! I would recommend being more concerned about the dog's human companions (owners). Breed is really irrelevant with good people companions - even pits! Meet the prospective tenants and their dog - on neutral territory - parking lot or park. How does the dog behave? Is it jumping all over you and completely out of control? Or does the dog behave like a good citizen? has it been taught basic manners? Sit - down - heel? How does the dog approach you? - is it curious and tail wagging or snarling (though I highly doubt it)!. For my SFH rental, prospective tenants and their pets must meet with my Certified Dog Trainer (Sister!) who judges both the people and the animals and lets me know what she thinks. Welcome a well behaved pet into your rental - your tenants will likely greatly appreciate it! I know because I have had many many unwilling landlords when I was looking for a place with my dog(s)/cat(s) in the past - I just had to find that landlord willing to meet us in person - and 'voila! A mutually agreeable arrangement. good luck!

Hi Jermaine here, we are not too worried about the breeds, what our interest are is size, we have a weight limit for pets, we do not allow pets that are or will grow over 20 pounds,

A person who contacted me about the rental has one of these dogs. Anyone have experience with them in a rental? I'm not familiar with this breed but a search on the internet had it listed on one apartment complex's list of banned breeds.
