Cleveland Eviction Experiences

Cleveland Eviction Experience

Do you any know any landlord who won an eviction case in Cleveland recently? I would love to hear about your experiences if you don’t mind. An another landlord had to send a pre-paid Uber card for the tenant to show up to the court because the tenant said he did not the transportation. When the tenant finally arrived to the court, he said he could not find a rental to move in so he essentially ended getting extension to stay four additional months (total 16 months with no rent). Shortly after the removal, the rental unit was set on fire and the insurance did not cover the damage because it said the fire was intentional. This is bad and sad. Thank you in advance.

City of Cleveland proper does not want you to win your eviction call. If you correctly navigate it, they'll still send it to mediation.

My advice, is get a lawyer, and have them take care of every single step. Make sure you have your Lead Clearance, and Don't take anything for granted. The wrong comma can delay your case.

You'll also need to have their bonded movers ready, and people to move the junk off the street when the job is done.

For this reason, tenant selection, Credit and Background checks, and having a local property manager are more crucial than ever in Cleveland.
