What is the best way to pay off credit card?

Hey everyone, what is simply the best and most strategic way to pay off your credit card? Let's say you currently have a balance of 1k on your credit card. Is it better to pay off the whole balance at the end of the month, or payment of $200 at the end of each month for 5 months?
