Hasan Minhaj is a funny comedian, but it's clear he doesn't know anything about economics or the housing and property management industry. In an effort to get a few laughs Hasan Minhaj featured HoltonWiseTV in his liberal cry fest about the housing crisis he has predicted. Through ignorance, misinformation, clever editing & Coronavirus sensationalism Hasan Minhaj has found a way to vilify American Citizens who happen to be property owners. Hassan Minhaj paints an us vs them picture that perpetuates dangerous liberal ideology like rent strikes all across America.

This post needs more attention. Hasan clearly cherry picked examples of what he believes real estate investors to be and broadcast that perverted view to the world of far left winged individuals. I think that @James Wise needs some love from the community on this. He's not alone on this one. An attack on one is an attack on all.

Thanks Darren. Appreciate the support. Hasan's got an army of disgruntled fans out there who're throwing an insane amount of hate towards the entire property management industry in the comments section.
The show wasn't that bad. I like how he explained that not paying rent was the worst thing that could happen.
The heat comes with the territory when you are loud, opinionated, and divisive. Deal with it.
I don't see where I said I have a problem with the heat? The personal attack on me aside, Hasan Minhaj and Netflix are broadcasting inaccurate facts to millions of people. This is incredibly dangerous for our entire industry. I've got no problem having jabs thrown at me. Or in this case, thousands of jabs lol. This issue is with major industry inaccuracies such as the nonsensical notion that landlords prefer to evict tenants over fixing faucets....
My show is divisive yes. But, my show is ACCURATE. It paints an ACCURATE picture of the industry I am a part of. What you see from me is REAL. These are REAL occurrences. These are REAL things that EVERYONE is going to deal with if they dip their toe in the industry I am involved in. Hasan's Netflix show on the other hand, was both divisive and INACCURATE. That is what is really dangerous. That is what we should all have a problem with.

So to make sure I understand your reply directed at Mr @James Wise, you don't feel the show was "that bad" because it pointed out 1 correct fact.... 1, so that wipes out the repetitive misinformation the show propagandized? So if I stated you are a communist, rat-eating, cross-eyed, knuckle-dragging, human being, it's a-ok because at least 1 of those is an accurate fact???? That is exactly what Hasan did, just not so obviously for all.
And you infer Mr James Wise is deserving of such because he has an opinion.... So, opinions are not ok, and having one justifies being attacked and slandered with an inaccurate depiction, because that person dares to have opinions....
And loud, ok, so now you have an issue with the volume of which his voice projects? Or are you speaking to which levels of volume he is heard, the number of persons who listen, who want to hear what James Wise has to say? because where I am from we call that jealousy.
Divisive, I am going to have to disagree with Mr James Wise himself on this front and argue his is nowhere near divisive, he IS BIASED, there is a huge difference. Divisive is to create division, to divide, I can not recall a single instance the JW has promoted division. What he does is shows a landlords REALITY, because he is focused and biased to that point. Evictions happen, bad tenants happen, hell just watch an episode for God's sake then tell me how "evil" JW is because the non-paying feces painting tenant got evicted? How about the other contract abiding tenants JW is defending? How about the housing units JW is providing available for those abiding people? Yeah, not 1 word.
No my friend, this DOSNT come with the territory, unjust slander and manipulative false reporting is NEVER justified.
And like has been said, an attack on one is an attack on all! Who you are and why you justify such is unjustified. James Wise has helped save a lot of people a lot of money, do some research, I guarantee people would have lost livelihoods and homes if not for the efforts he has done and suffered for, you owe a LOT more respect for JW.
