Fix and Flip Recommendations

Daniel L.
Posted

Hello, my partner and I are looking to scale up our fix and flip business in San Antonio Texas. We are newer to fix and flipping so if anyone has any good companies/people to recommend, that would be appreciated! Specifically looking for the following at least though

  1. 1. Insurance broker
  2. 2. GC
  3. 3. Project Manager (Currently not at that volume yet, will be there soon hopefully)

Thank you!

Hey Daniel,

I would suggest using NREIG for your fix and flip insurance. They are the most inexpensive insurance for our industry that I have found (and I have tried a lot over the years!). As for a good GC they are usually easiest to find through networking at your local REIA or with other investors. You can also google GC and have 3 of them meet out a prospective projects and have them each bid out the job. Make sure to check references, license numbers and that they are in good standing (don't skip this step…ask me how I know lol). It's not always the cheapest guy you go with, often it is the one that is the most reliable, hungry and can get the job done the quickest. Craigslist is also an often overlooked place for contractors.

Lastly, when you finally get to needing a good project manager, the best way to find them is to post an add on Indeed. To narrow down your search have each person submit a less than 5 minute video on why you should hire them along with their resume. Those that do not do the video self weeded themselves out of consideration and saves you a ton of time.

Boom! Hope that helps!
