SDIRA and Rental property rentals - Stepson
Hello,
I'm new to this forum.
I have a SDira and it owns a loft/rental. It is tilted only my name and I already rent it out. Can I rent it to my girlfriends son? Her and I live together in a separate house and we are not married. We file our own taxes as individuals.
What if we get married. Could the new stepson still rent it from my SDira?
Thank you for any thoughts,
Jeff

Please consult with licensed legal counsel on this matter. Advice from some guy on the internet is well intentioned but potentially dangerous.
A stepson is not technically disqualified, but there are a lot of ways such a transaction could create potential issues for an IRA.
