Hi Folks!

I'm purchasing storage units in Texas, but I live in Oregon. It looks like I would file the LLC for the storage unit business in TX since that is where the property is, wanted to post to see if anyone has experience or any advice on this topic. Thanks in advance!

You can do that. Or you can do something more complicated like create an Oregon LLC, and register it in Texas. Or you could create an Alaska LLC and register it in Texas. Or you could create a second a LLC in one state to own the second LLC in another state.

Many people don't even need an LLC let alone the complex set-ups. I'd talk to your local attorney who makes his money consulting with you rather than selling you LLCs.
