Are assignment contracts a matter of public record?

I believe double closes are since a wholesaler owns the property for a few minutes. 

Are assignment contracts also considered a part of the purchase contract and thus subject to being recorded? If the wholesaler has a judgement can this cause lien issues for the cash buyer?

Purchase Contracts are not usually recorded nor are assignments of contracts. I assume you could if record them if you wanted to.
