Referrals are the best way to find anything. Every CPA will tell you they have RE experience, make sure they invest in RE themselves and ask them questions you think a CPA that is investor friendly should know. Maybe ask them about a deferred sales trust?

I'd start by talking with real estate investors local to you and asking who they use. That can help you find CPAs based near you, making it easier to meet with them and get advice face to face.

Any websites? Resources to find them?
Go to the webpage of the State CPA Society. There will be a Real Estate Chapter. Many Members to choose from. Look at their profiles. If they are publishing articles and giving talks, they are keeping up to date.
