Funding strategies for new investor

Hello all,

I am a newbie learning as much as I can about real estate investing. I have understood the BRRRR method. My question is, what are funding strategies that some of you have used to start off? Have you gone the HM lending route, put in your cash, leveraged Heloc from primary? I had like to hear some success cases.
