2nd Primary Residence

Hi my name is Derrick Montelongo. I’m 23 years old and live in the Bay Area. I’m new to BiggerPockets, but have been listening to the podcast for over a year now.

I bought my first single family house in March 2020. I did a complete remodel and have turned it into a triplex. I just finished by refinance and have made my first payment this month (March 2021).

My gf and I stay in the bottom unit and rent out the top. My neighbor house is the property I’m looking at buying. They have the same or less square footage recorded but their house looks bigger than my house.

What are the requirements to get a loan to buy her property and live in it as my PRIMARY residence.
