Scam Alert: Anthony O'brien with Summit & Crowne Partners
I was told by this mortgage broker he can do three loans for me. These loans where about 1.5 million each and he wanted 2 points each which is about $30,000. So the cost would have been about $90,000. He then went on to say if I prepay him $50,000 he would do it for only one point each. I usually do not prepay but he did some loans for me already and he even signed a note where he and his company personally guaranteed the advance payment for the money, just in case he could not do the loan. I wired him $50,000. When he failed to do the three loans, he promised a refund over and over again that never came. I started to get calls from my other loans he did for me that he claimed he was the lender. I discovered that he not my lender, and the lender kicked him out as a broker because he stolen mortgage payment from clients that should of gone to the lender. He is committing enormous scams with his lending license and must be stopped. Does anyone have advice for me how to get my money back? Where should I go to complain?
