Anyone use Flagstar Bank? (HELOC)

I am searching for financing and I spoke with one of the the mortgage loan advisor and their options look very good for a HELOC on my current SFH. However I searched the bank and it's reviews and found many bad ratings. Most sounded pretty petty and about illogical unexpected fees and more about customer service. Mind you I am in NY and they have locations all over the USA. Didn't see many complaints in NY but very off-putting as a whole. No one wants a problematic institution out the gate.

Anyone have experience with Flagstar Bank? Please share experiences

(Other HELOC recommendations welcome)

@Jared W Smith

We have a mortgage through Flagstar. I have found it easier to work with them than Wells Fargo or Chase.
