Second appraisal

Hello Everyone,
Am refinacing my first property with a local bank and the appraisal was done early this month but another guy just called me that he wants to set up an apparaisal for the same house for the bank next week and from my discussion with him I know he his from a different company.

The house appraise for 50% more then I paid for it early last year and the bank offer me 70% of the appraise value which I have accepted.

On the loan documents, the bank already charge me $550 for appraisal and my question is are they going to charge me another $550 for this second appraisal and is it common for banks to order two appraisal.
Thanks
Tracey.
