Note investing in Toronto, Canada

Hello, I’m interested in note investing, specifically in the Toronto real estate market. Seeking to make short term loans, secured by high quality real estate.

Any suggestions on where to source these notes and or projects in need of short term financing?

Thank you!

@Jon D. you would profit through various potential exit strategies such as getting the loan re-performing, foreclosing, discounted payoff, short-sale, etc.

I think what @Chad U. is getting at is that your explanation of what you're explaining sounds like it falls between two different fields. Note investing as we typically refer to it is purchasing performing or non-performing notes. Private lending would be lending money to a party which would indeed generate a note. This is what it sounds like you're referring to in your first post, though you wouldn't be sourcing notes you would be sourcing projects. Are you possibly referring to working with a hard money lending company and investing in them instead?
