Looking for a personal loan with deferred payments

Hello fellow BP-ers!

I have been working on a single family property that I bought several years ago. I have been paying cash for everything so far to date. To make a long story short. I am ready to be DONE with it!

I have been considering doing a large personal loan to help get the project finished. Once it’s done I'd refinance it and pay off the loan.

The problem is that I do not want to have the headache of having to pay a payment of $500-1000+ a month until, I am able to get it refinanced.

Is there a loan that I could get that would allow me to defer payments for a few months so?

Im thinking what I need is a line of credit. I tried getting one at the local credit union and they only could do 5,000.

Thanks for your help!
