Private lending through LLC or Personal?

Kelvin Ng
Posted

Hey there everyone! I'm new to REI, and I'm looking to invest passively as a PML. I know LLCs are great to have for liability protections and all. But say there was a deal available and I don't have a passive LLC ready yet, is it fully necessary to have an LLC to lend?

Thanks in advance!

@David M.

Depends on the state and if they can file for punitive damages. It’s very rare but remember anyone can sue for anything
