New investor, should I get my real estate license?

I am a new investor in the Houston area. I currently have a real estate agent but it is such a hassle to get a hold of her. I feel like I'm constantly calling her. Would it benefit me to get my real estate license or could it hurt me in the long run? Also, for those that have their license what else do you use it for? Thanks for your
