Basics of Real Estate Investing

Hi everyone! My name is Jack and I am currently 16 years old living in North Carolina. I stumbled upon this platform in a search on YouTube regarding learning the basics of real estate investing and I thought I would give it a try. I have read an ample amount of books about finances and general investing which included real estate investing. I became intrigued with the idea that one can buy a property, and then rent, or sell it in the future for a profit if the market performs well. I want to begin my learning journey early on so that when I am able to start making decisions I am well equipped. My main question in the post is: What would be the best learning strategy for me to follow? YouTube, books, podcasts, or all of these? Also if you have any other ways to start learning or any suggestions on which books/ YouTube videos/ podcasts are the best, I would love to hear some feedback! Thank you to everyone in advance!

Great that you are taking time to learn so early!  I would read as much as you can on these forums as well as listening to the BP podcast.  There are also many webinars that BP offers which are free and many designed for beginners.  Follow some investors on instagram as you'll get quick nuggets of info and start building a network.

Find and join a group in your area.  I see you are in NC (me too, i'm in Raleigh) , and I joined TREIA. There are groups where you can simply go and listen to others and maybe get a mentor.

Anything else I can answer, just let me know.
