Help! Has anyone heard of an investor named Than Merril?

Hello, I am attending a 3 day work shop by fortune builders which is a company started by Than Merril. I attended a free 2 hour RE course from them and then purchased from them also this 3 day work shop on RE investing for $197. Has anybody had experience with this company or these types of workshops? They will be going over whole sale and different types of methods and their systems on investing etc seems like a beginners guide on RE. As i am going over the material it seems to me after the training they will present their coaching programs or some sort of program to help jump start your RE investment path with them. the program seemed like it was packed with a lot of info so I thought itll be worth a shot to hear but any tips, pointers or things i should expect when attending these seminars?

Leave your checkbook and credit card at home. All gurus use the same basic model. Provide lots of value in a free or minimal cost seminar...enough to show you they're going to give you HUGE value in the next seminar. Then tell you that you can't be a successful investor unless you spend $20K to $50K on their "coaching program."
