Trip to DFW & Austin - Great areas to check out?

Question

I’m going to be traveling to DFW and Austin area primarily to scope out the area to invest. I have never been there before so I was curious...

Where are some areas you would recommend looking into in the DFW & Austin area for purchasing SFH $250k and below.

We’re looking to purchase 1-2 properties but I want to get a good feel for the market and some potential areas to invest!

@Brady Salcido it is not hard to generate an Austin MSA search for homes under $250k and get your results, but knowing if a home in that area aligns with your specific REI goals is far more valuable information.

@Brady Salcido For the Austin market area at $250k and below, look at the outer bands of suburbs including Leander, Liberty Hill, Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, Del Valle, and Buda.

Where are you coming in from?

Some hot areas in DFW that we are experiencing for investors in that price range are:

Fort Worth side -

South Fort Worth, Justin, Benbrook, Burleson, Argyle, and Haslet

Dallas side of DFW -

Terrell, Forney, McKinney, and Mesquite.

I don’t invest in Austin or DFW but use to live there. Hope you’ll get the time to check out Barton Springs while you’re in Austin. Bring your swimming shorts.
