SFH vs multifamily housing

I'm interested in getting opinions on whether renting single family homes is better or worse than renting apartments. My thoughts are mainly on the potential resale of both. In the future, if you want to unload a SFH, I think it would be easier since there are more people looking to buy houses rather than apartment buildings. On the flip side, I think owning apartment building provides more substantial cashflow. What are some other thoughts on this from the BP community?
