Birmingham 35217 area

Hello,

Does anyone have any insight on the 35217 area in Birmingham? It seems like a rental area but I have been hearing mixed things about this area. Someone told me to stay away from that area. lol Just wanted to get others opinion. I'm looking to see if that area would be a good wholesale area.
