Neighborhood Selection | Percentage of Renters

How does one go about finding the percentage of renters on a block, or in a neighborhood, of SFHs?

I know for a condo complex that data is available via the HOA.

I'm wondering how I can find that data for a block of SFHs.

I know zilpy gives a renter occupied figure on their site for the area surrounding a given address. I wonder if the data is accurate and where it comes from.
