Does anyone use UV lights in their air systems?

It sounds like it might be a good idea to have UV lights installed in my furnaces or air handlers, but is it really worth it? How much does it help (if at all?) does anyone here do this or recommend doing it or not and why or why not?

I watched a few videos where the people said it doesn't actually clean the air but rather it keeps the units themselves clean which can prevent the air which is pushed through those units from picking up any toxins that might have started to grow inside the units, thus creating a healthier atmosphere.

Since it doesn't clean the air itself it sounds less appealing to me, especially since I would have to be cycling new bulbs in there when they go out.

Thoughts?
