Casualties in the house!

I’m trying to finish a remodel right now, and I’m going from phase to phase, and I find myself with all these material casualties from phase to phase. Stuff happens and materials get messed up, left out too long. I find myself suffering casualties the average person wouldn’t have to deal with, even material purchases that don’t fit, then get buried in a closet and not returned in time. I have a garage full of losses, or future uses, but sometimes that I need to throw away too. Do any of you find the casualty thing being a common part of the war... I mean business and how does this effect you?

Does this happen more as you go to scale, even in finances, or properties that you own?

Do you learn to embrace the process of cutting losses, and not get distracted from the progress??
