Groutable Vinyl Tile

I usually put ceramic tile in my rental bathrooms for appearance and long term durability.  Cutting and cleanup is messy so I recently tried groutable vinyl tile.  Cost per square foot was about the same and labor was 1/4 of ceramic tile.  Basically, peal it, stick it and gout it.  I laid it on top of a slab with a prior vinyl sheet floor so it adhered really well.  Cutting was way easy and end result looks as good as ceramic tile after grouting.

Question - I'd like to do the same with peal and stick vinyl tile on a plywood subfloor.  Does anyone have experience with how will the vinyl tile will stick to plywood or not?

Thanks,

Terrell

@Terrell Garren peel and stick will work fine. The issue is, the material itself is so cheap that I doubt it will last. I know ceramic is time consuming, but you are putting in a floor that will legitimately last 20 years too.
