Seller won't get a survey

Hello BP family,

I'm trying to market a wholesale deal for a 15,000 sq ft lot in Houston. It's getting pretty difficult because with as much potential that's in this lot and the area it's in, the seller is reluctant to provide a survey of the lot to market it. I have comps for the property but that's all I have to work with it. I don't want to give up so easily but I also don't want to build a reputation as a crappy wholesaler by providing inadequate information regarding a potential investment property for someone. Should I just let him know I won't be able to market the properly without it or should I continue to market with what I have? HELP!

If you are confident in the value and your spread, why don't you buy the survey?  It will build credibility in the seller's eyes and help you market it.  What do you have it under contract for?  What's it worth?
