How can I become a property developer?

Hello I'm Jeremy, I'm 19 and from Nashville TN. I've always had an interest in the real estate industry and my dream has always been becoming a property developer. I knew that some how I had to get some knowledge in the field of real estate. So I took the required classes to get my real estate license in which I completed the classes, received my certificates and studying for my license now. I really would love to Network with successful property developers who focuses on multifamily homes, luxury apartment homes and small condominiums to learn from them and to know how they started. In the career path I want for myself as a property developer I would like to know  any knowledge someone can offer on where to begin in my career and paths to take to be successful. I would love to meet and shadow successful property developers in city and state or any close state. I'm a very determined individual who that will work hard to see success.
