Home Exterior Color Not As We Expected
My wife and I have signed a contract for a new construction home in Florida. The land was bought by the construction company and we chose our lot and house model. (There are 18 homes going up in the enclave) The picture attached is a picture I took today of the 1st viewing of the paint color of our home. The model home that we expected the color of our house is below. As you can tell there is a considerable difference as we thought our home would have a darker exterior color. This might be the 1st coating but in the event its not do we as the buyer have a right for the construction company to paint close to the specifications of the model home we signed our contract and agreed upon? We have already put down a significant amount of money and I'm leery of our closing until the exterior of our home is closer to what we expected in the model.

@Devan R. The picture on the bottom looks like a rendering, not an actual photo of a real home. However; to me, the top part looks like an off white color, and the lower looks tan. (it's hard to tell for sure due to sunlight) With the dirt in front, and the roof not on, your eye is picking up the peach tones, I don't think it's actually pink.
The builders should have shown you a stucco chart that has actual chips of the finished stucco colors. Most builders have a range of colors they allow you to choose from. If there are model homes, were there any that you could see with the colors you liked? What did the contract specify? Have you talked to the builder?
Stucco goes on with a scratch coat (which is a gray color) color coat (which looks like what there is on yours) and then a final fog coat. The color that is there is the color it will be. Sorry.
As to painting, you don't just paint new stucco. Stucco is a concrete product, and it cures over time. Though you don't like the color, it's a beautiful house. Once they get the roofing on, landscaping in, sidewalks, etc. it will soften up the look, and be beautiful. I know it's disappointing, but I don't know of any way to change the color right now. Hang in there, you may learn to love it!
