Prospecting for a specific piece of land - tips and strategies
Hi! I'd like to start actively prospecting for land and am looking for advice on strategies from those who have done this successfully. I'd love to just hear what has worked for you. Also, below are some ideas I've had.
It seems to make sense to start with a list of people in my ideal area that have owned land for a long time and are not actively using it. The part I'm navigating is that I need a specific piece of land for the project I want to create. What strategies have worked best for you? Should I use something like propstream to find all acreage that fits my size parameters then just start doing drive-bys to see if it looks like it would work? Then from there just narrow down the ones that don't look like they'd work? Do I just send my collateral to everyone that fits the parameters then go see the land once people respond? How much detail on what you'd like to do with the land do you provide up front? I have a proof of concept web page and can provide a personal story and touch. But I'm not sure how much time is worth investing on the front end.
Thanks in advance!
