New Construction Help

Hey everyone! I am a new investor with one deal under my belt. I have found a potential next deal, but was curious if anyone could give insight to new construction. I am potentially looking into purchasing a lot and building a house but I have little intel on how that process works, the time, etc.

Any help is amazing!

I flipped around a dozen houses before I did my first new construction deal. While it seems like you might be "skipping a head" by starting your journey with a new build, the good news is that new construction is 100% easier than remodeling an old house.

The most important thing you need to do is build out the right team. This team will consist of:

-Architect

-Surveyor

-Engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, etc)

-Designer

-General Contractor/Builder

-Landscaper

-Realtor (if selling)

With this group of people, you will have a successful project because they will all help guide you every step of the way. I built my first house as owner/builder which is also an option if you don't want to hire a GC, but since you have no experience in construction, I do not recommend you proceed as owner/builder.
