Need advice and help! In a lease. In a pickle
Hey everyone. Here's my situation. I'm in an apartment lease for 7 more months. I want to buy a duplex to house hack. Will I still qualify for an FHA loan for that duplex even though I can't live in it for about 7 months? I was hoping to air bnb out the duplex until I can move in. Thoughts?

Could you sub-lease or Airbnb the apartment.Would you qualify for the loan with the expense of the apartment?
Can you afford both? Pay the expense of the apartment upfront if you have the funds and move into the duplex.
I’d say if the utilities for the duplex are in your name your living there.Negotiate your way out of the lease with your landlord.
