Working with my partner to develop a 12 unit apartment complex that has enough land to build up to 36 units.  I am looking for resources that can I educate myself on the different exit strategies.   Have flipped many homes, have two rent and hold homes, but this is my first venture into multi-family.

I am educated on 1031 exchanges, just trying to understand all of our options.

@Paul Guilbeau here are your options essentially : 1) Refinance the property once you have increased NOI therefore pulling out your initial down-payment or more or less. 2) Sell the property. 3) Syndicate it by selling some of the equity position to LP's. Choosing between these options depends on how much of an exit you need, the capital markets environment upon exit (interest rates, max loan values) and the properyy market (market value of the property and buy side demand versus inventory).
