Start by analyzing deals in each market. Bigger Pockets has excellent tools in order to help you with the analyzation process. No your budget and determine what you can afford and what you can not afford. You may only be able to afford a duplex before you can scale to a 4plex. Start by reaching out to agents in the markets that you are interested in. There is free MLS listings on the internet. Use Zillow for comps in each market through your analyzation stage.
