Possession after tax forclosure

April Green
Posted

I just purchased a property through the NC Forsyth County Tax Sale.   The sale has been confirmed and the property is in my name.   Can anyone tell me what the steps to evict the previous owner in this situation would be?

If you have no experience with evictions, I recommend you hire an attorney and get it done correctly. This will provide an opportunity to learn the process, get copies of all the documents they use, and help you decide whether you want to tackle it on your own in the future.

I recommend you call around and try to find an attorney that specializes in evictions or at least has a lot of experience with them. Not all attorneys are created equal.
