Auction.com Cancellation due to inability to read the water meter

We went into contract on an auction.com home 7 weeks ago. Tonight, they sent over a cancellation agreement due to "inability to read the water meter because it is inside the home and is occupied". We think this is a good opportunity for a flip and hate to miss out on it. It has been difficult for us to find deals we feel good about in this hot market. Do you guys have any advice or potential solutions for us to not lose out on this house?
