Off Market - Deceased Owner

Earlier today I was driving for dollars and found an off market, distressed property in my neighborhood of Everett WA. I looked the property up and found that the owner had recently passed away, furthermore it doesn’t appear she has any close relatives. Any advice on where to start in pursuing this property?

@Myles W.  The property may or may not go through probate. Contrary to popular belief many properties don't go through probate after the deceased passes. Having said that I would do a check with the county probate court first. You can also try looking at the death certificate. Often times these are filed by a relative and their addresses are on them in many areas. You could also try doing an online search of the local obituaries to see if there is any useful information. Good luck!
