I feel like a epic failureðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Hi My Bigger Pocketeers,
So. This home that has been In my family for years is due for closing early next month. I made the decision to sell it because I've been making morgage payments on it for years and not knowing where to start with it. Just recently Im just learning more about the different options but things havent been that clear to me even years before I feel real dumb and unaccomplished. Im starting to wonder. Is real estate really for me? Or is It just a allusion? These are questions I ask myself. I just couldn't seem to pick this deal off the ground.
The house is in my brothers name
I took over the payments so the house won't foreclose with the attentions to fix and rent. I was just making paymet and nothing was being done to the house. I started a few things but even that felt overwhelming and to add Working a W2 job and paying rent where I curently stay. I just felt like I should of tried harder. Its not to late to recover the house since it haven't closed yet but this is just heavy on my mind I don't know what to do.
Can yall tell me when yall first started out. Have yall missed out on deals just because you wasn't ready or lack of knowledge or something else?

Hey Yenika,
Most start out nervous and miss many deals due to the unknowns. Many never make it to their first deal due to the fear of failure. What pushed me to get over the hump was my "why" in life, which is not actually to own a ton of real estate, but to be free of any life's "restrictions", and do whatever I want, whenever I want.
You are not a failure, you are just getting started. Real estate is a tough game to enter, but I promise it gets easier over time. It's like running for the first time, you get exhausted just thinking of it, but you have to do it in order for any change to happen. Next thing you know, you are running miles with ease.
My recommended path for you is the following:
Read a few books: Rich Dad Poor Dad, Set for Life and any others recommended
Think deep about what matters most to you in life and come up with your "WHY"
Surround yourself and those who are already in the real estate game and stray way from those who don't do it and tell you things like "Real estate is tough" or "What if you end up with bad tenants" and etc. You are the average of the 5 people you surround yourself with most. Think deep about your everyday relationships. Are they helping you grow?
From there, I believe things will get easier and you will gain some clarity and can then decide if real estate is right for you.
In the end, if you decide real estate is not right for you, it's not a big deal. But, I have a feeling, you will go the other way here.
If you need some guidance, feel free to reach out. Don't give up this early in the game, you are just getting started!
