Buying my primary SFR in SF

Sam Hashemi
Posted

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy my primary resident property in bay area.

I saw some new SFR in SF sunset district and around it. They are around 1m. Not sure if it is real price or they just want to create competition.

I have couple of questions:

1- What do you think about the idea of buying SFR around 1-1.2m in that area for my primary resident? is it doable? can I find a nice one with this budget?

2- Do you guys know and can introduce me some knowledgeable agent that I can work with which knows SF and can fight for me to get some discount? :)

@Sam Hashemi  I definitely agree with @Brian Garlington that you will be hard pressed to find a home in your price range.  You will need to expand your area to the southern and eastern parts of the city (ingleside, crocker amazon, bayview, etc.).  We recently helped a client purchase a beautiful home for $1.3M in the Sunset and many agents were shaking their head wondering how we managed to get in at such a low price.

Condos will eventually bounce back and picking something up with low prices is a great idea.
