Accepted offer - response advice?

A seller has accepted our offer but wants to continue to show until inspections complete and contracts are signed.  He doesnt want to take himself out of the market in the event that we change our mind or dont perform (which we will).  He's slightly apprehensive about small down payment but says he's committed to move forward with us.  His agents say to schedule inspection ASAP and that they are looking forward to working with us.

Sounds good to me but just thought I'd see what expertise is out there and what if anything you Pros would respond with.

Thanks BP community!

I always keep my listings Active, still showing through the inspection period, although amended to state it is contingent on a home inspection.  It's amazing to me how many buyers and buyer's agents who, during the price negotiations, say they won't be picky in the inspection, just looking for major issues, then suddenly want every tiny thing in the report fixed by a licensed contractor with an extended warranty or request thousands more off already negotiated price.  I'm also amazed at how many sellers would rather cancel the contract than pay for repairs they feel are unnecessary or feel have already been negotiated in price level, even minor ones, so it's just more efficient to keep it active until inspections are over.
