Dishwasher in rental unit? Is it worth it?

I recently bought a duplex. The upper unit has a dishwasher but the lower not. I think it's not worth putting one in as it wouldn't increase rent. What do you think?

Depends on the class of people you rent to.  I have them on most of my Properties and I think it adds value, i just can't quantify it.

It's a nice ammenity but If there wasn't one already there then you are right it is not going to increase your rent and that would be costly to add

@Chris Rogers I agree with you about it not adding to your profit. In fact, it’s just one more mechanical appliance you as the landlord have to be responsible for it something goes wrong with it. This is why I never add dishwashers, washer and dryers, or microwaves to rentals.

I'd say it's a c class neighbourhood. All the neighbours on the street are rentals, purpose built duplexes. It would be nice to know if neighbours have them in both units.
