Appreciation rates by metro over many years

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a free site that shows appreciation rates by metro for individual years going back decades. For example, the appreciation rate for Dallas or Charlotte each year going back to 1950.

I am just trying to get a sense of how often a correction happens and how severe they are.

I don’t think that data would do you any good for Dallas, back then it was an oil/energy town. It still is to a point, but it has a lot fo other things going for it now. Data from when almost no foreigners or mom and pop’s owned investment property is also likely to have little relevance in the last 20-30 years.

Simply typing “dallas property appreciation rates” in to google gave me a website called neighborhood scout which gave data since 2000 by neighborhood and price range  two more things that are probably waaaay more important than data from 1950  hard to get a realistic appreciation rate for a million dollar house in a neighborhood that didn’t exist 50 years ago

Charlotte is probably the same but I know even less about it than Dallas
