Do you buy properties online?

How do you guys feel about buying from an online auction site like Hubzu.com? I’m nervous that they require all these fees up front and I’m finding bad review after bad review about how they tie up a bunch of money and they change price, change their reserve, etc when there is any interest. In the past I’ve found properties in great locations but when I found out it was an online auction/virtual realtor thing I backed away. I guess I was weary of the unknown but I’m seeing it more often. Has anyone had success using this site or similar ones? How is the process really?
