Finding a developer to buy property

Good Evening All!

A quick question to see if anyone else has tried this strategy out there in regards to trying to sell their property. I bought a corner lot house about 3 years ago and recently a large number of town homes in my area are being built, which has got me thinking and dreaming of hopefully a developer knocking on my door requesting to buy my property.

Rather than sitting, waiting and wishing, I was thinking of reaching out to my City to give me the list of developers that have been developing in my area and reaching out to those particular developers to see if they would take a look at my property.

Has anyone on biggerpockets ever tried to do this? If so, what experiences were involved?

@Tyler Harrel

Why don't you just hire a commercial broker to list your property? Not sure if you live in Fort Lauderdale, but you should have no shortage of brokers there.
