Funding deals for less talkative people

I am at a point in my investing where I need to network and find a partner with money or someone to invest money in deals with me. How does someone who is less sociable find people to help fund deals? Do you tend to lean towards partnerships or passive investors? Is hard money still too expensive to bother with?

For the record I’m investing in Central and south NJ.

@Josh Thompson Ryan is spot on about Real Estate being a people business. I am an introvert by nature so I have to put a lot of energy into networking and connecting with people. The biggest piece of advice I have for us less talkative types is to GET OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE! You will significantly limit your growth potential if you do not build a solid network which includes getting very uncomfortable at times. It does get easier the more you do it.

I would also highly recommend Matt Faircloth's "Raising Private Capital" book as it outlines every step you need to take to become a money-raising machine. It has helped me tremendously and I'm using some of the suggestions for a large capital raise right now.

Cheers!
