@Justin Michael Johnson, Welcome to Sacramento! As DJ mentioned, there are a few meetups around town, the RE Roundtable he mentioned is a really good one, happens every 2nd and 4th Monday, I also run a meetup in West Sacramento every 3rd Monday. There are others as well.

Also, there is a really good RE Summit coming up, it's in Oakland but will have a lot of Sacramento people - we're going to have a couple groups from Sacramento go, let me know if you want details. The event post is below, @J. Martin organizes this one.
