Turnkey Investment Experience/Tips

Brian Gao
Posted

Hi Guys,

Have any of you guys completed a turnkey investment? Would love to hear any and all thoughts on the process itself and success/failure stories. I recently began considering this option more and don't know much about the subject!

Cheers,

Brian

I've bought a lot of turnkeys and I also now help other people buy them. My biggest piece of advice would be to remember that while someone else is taking care of most of the work on your behalf, that doesn't mean you can/should be brainless about it. Don't trust what everyone tells you--verify everything for yourself. And then once you own it, yes you will have a property manager managing, but keep an eye on them and if any challenges arise, be ready to do something about it. Some people think they can be so hands-off that they never need to step in for anything. And then with the property manager, know that you can always fire the one that comes with the property and hire a new one, should the occasion every arise that you need to do that.
