Systems for finding private lenders

Hey BPers,

For 2019 I made it a goal to meet with at least one potential private money lender per week. The problem I'm running into is I have no idea where to find people who lend private money. Private equity has been relatively easy to find, and I have systems for that, but I wanted to see if any of you have suggestions or systems for finding private lending. The lending would be for 2 kinds of deals: Double close wholetails (where we buy it cheap and put it right on the market to sell to a retail buyer) or owner financed deals, where we sell it to someone who may not be able to get a traditional loan today but is taking positive steps in that direction. So on one end of the spectrum, I do deals that would be a flat fee type structure I'm assuming, and on the other end I have deals that would operate like a traditional loan but with a balloon. So far I've just been using my own money, but I want to continue putting my money to work in multifamily rather than SFR's. With all of that being said, where do you all typically look for people who are interested in private lending vs equity in a deal?
