Should I buy my mom’s house?

Devryn Rikhoff
Posted
I’m 19 turning 20 in December. I want to invest in a small mobile home park, but I only have 10k and only have a couple people that i believe would invest with me. So should I offer my mom some money to buy her house pay the mortgage for 6 months, then refinance. This way I would have more money to help buy a small park. The house is worth around 130k and she only owes 40k, I was thinking offering her 60k. The thing is I can’t sell it for the length of time she wants to live there.

@Devryn Rikhoff This sounds like a great plan, however family is the most important thing in life, so just make sure your mom is getting a fair deal. Maybe partner with your mother? It is very impressive that you have saved up this much and have the passion to make take this journey. Remember you have time on your side, if you always do the right thing you will accomplish great things!
